Welcome Spring
Seasonal bulbs that return year after year with the promise of a new season.
Questions are part of gardening.
Here you'll find answers to common questions about shipping, planting, and caring for your order. If you can't find what you're looking for, I'd be happy to help.
-
Flower bulbs are nature's way of storing next season's growth. Inside each bulb is everything needed to produce roots, leaves, and flowers once the proper conditions arrive.
Most spring-flowering bulbs are planted in autumn, when cool soil encourages root growth before winter dormancy. As temperatures warm in spring, they emerge and bloom, often providing the first flowers of the gardening season.
-
Flower bulbs ship during the appropriate planting window for your region.
For spring, this is typically late March through April. For fall, this is usually October through November.
We ship based on planting safety — not calendar demand.
If you order seeds and bulbs together, they may ship separately. -
Your plants will arrive:
Without soil
Wrapped to maintain dryness
Carefully packed for protection
Bulbs should feel firm, not mushy.
-
For best results, plant your bulbs as soon as possible after they arrive. Store them in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location until planting if weather or soil conditions require a short delay.
Spring-flowering bulbs are planted in fall, after soil temperatures have cooled but before the ground freezes. Detailed planting instructions are included with every order and on each product page.
-
Many spring-flowering bulbs return for years when planted in the right conditions, though longevity varies by variety.
Snowdrops and alliums readily naturalize and often increase over time. Anemones may return reliably in warmer climates with good drainage. Tulips can also return for several years, though many gardeners enjoy replanting them periodically for the fullest display.
Each product page includes specific growing information and hardiness recommendations for that variety.
-
Absolutely! Many spring-flowering bulbs perform beautifully in containers, provided the pots have excellent drainage.
Use a quality potting mix, plant bulbs at the recommended depth, and place containers outdoors where they'll receive the winter chill required for spring flowering. Regular watering during active growth will reward you with beautiful blooms, whether on a porch, patio, or balcony.
